Surprisingly, when you ask for the definition of a customer, the answer is often vague—“it depends.” But to me, it’s straightforward: if someone is paying, they’re a customer. If they’re not, they’re not. Simple.

Why is having an accurate customer list so crucial? Let me break it down:

Churn Tracking: Without a clear list, how can you measure churn? You can’t. Let’s say you notice a dip in your monthly revenue—without an accurate customer list, you’re left guessing.
